Travelling to more distant locations raises the need to adapt to changes in weather conditions, possibly very different and extreme. The cold and rain, or maybe hot weather with temperatures over 30° Centigrade. How can a rider tackle these extreme conditions without some kind of support vehicle, full of riding gear?
The solution is a multifunctional textile set, which can be configured to the current situation by the use of detachable layers. These layers, such as the membrane, thermo liner and waterproofs, can be folded up small, and easily stored in a pannier, or case, on the motorcycle.
An important consideration when selecting the configuration of the textile clothing is the style of riding it shall be used for "off-road" or "on-road". "Off-road " is representative of the Enduro kind of environment, which requires more movement of the rider on the motorcycle than usual. This, in turn, expends more energy that warms the body, and any excess heat needs to be removed through a well-ventilated area. Protection too must not be forgotten. It may be that speeds are not always so high when off road, but falls can be just as, or even more dangerous, due to the environment in which they occur. "On-road" is the more standard travel scenario amongst normal traffic and long stretches on tarmac. The choice of clothing is easily tailored to the individual requirements of the travel style.
